Kamdudha Rasa
Kamdudha rasa is an important drug used in ayurveda which mainly acts on pitta dosha. The effect of kamdudha rasa appears on the digestive system, cardiovascular system, nervous system and urinary system. It reduces heat in the body, balances acid production in the stomach, reduces inflammation of the organs and lowers the tendency of bleeding. Kamdudha rasa mainly contains calcium compounds chiefly calcium carbonate and calcium oxide. Calcium plays an important role in many physiological activites not only related to bones but also includes blood clotting, nerve conduction, muscle contraction, regulation of enzymatic activity and cell membrane function. Kamdudha rasa also contains many elements like iron, oxygen, sodium, zinc, aluminium, silicon, potassium and others which are essential minerals for the maintenance of healthy body. Praval Pishti
Praval pishti is an ayurvedic medicine, prepared from coral. It provides natural calcium and vitamin C for the development and maintenance of healthy bones and cell membrane. It is frequently used in the form of bhasma alone or with other herbomineral drugs mainly in treatment of fever, anemia, insomnia, diabetes etc. and also for rasayana(rejuvenator) and vajikarna(aphrodisiac) purposes. Hadjod (Cissus Quadrangularis)
C.quadrangularis is a traditional medicine used in treatment of various ailments. Traditionally it was mostly used in treatment of female disorders such as menopause and menstrual disorders and treating bone disorders which gives it the traditional name of hadjod. In ayurveda, it is used for strengthening bones, relieves constipation, aphrodisiac, digestive. Methanol extract of C. quadrangularis exhibits strong antioxidant and free radical scavenging activity. Chandraprabha Vati
