Kasani (Cichorium Intybus) is highly beneficial in treatment of liver diseases. It is hepato-protective. The plant was traditionally used for purification of biliary tract, liver complaints, as spasmolytic, to relieve symptoms related with mild digestive disorders such as abdominal fullness, flatulence, slow digestion and temporary loss of appetite. Guduchi (Tinospora Cordifolia) is a widely used plant in ayurveda. It is described as Rasayana (rejuvenator), Balya (tonic), Agnidipana (improves digestion), Tridoshashamaka (balance all 3 elements of body) in ayurvedic texts (Bhaav Prakash). It is beneficial in treatment of vomiting, loss of appetite, liver disorders, jaundice, anemia. Punernava (Boerhavia Diffusa) is an excellent diuretic, anti-inflammatory and mild laxative. It is used in treatment of loss of appetite, jaundice, anemia, constipation.
